Our History: Drive Change, Play Golf!
Our annual Blue Jays for Baltimore Golf Tournament has provided an outlet for friends, family, sponsors, alumni, and many other supporters of BJB to gather for a fun and rewarding event. The event is a great way to support the Baltimore youth. Our 2023 tournament raised $12,000 for the Henderson Hopkins sports organization, Our 2024 tournament raised $30,000 for the Pen Lucy community in building a playground. The proceeds from this year’s 4th Annual Birdies for Baltimore Golf Classic will go to Leveling the Playing Field, a non-profit that provides free sports equipment to under-resourced youth, ensuring all children of all financial backgrounds can have access to the transformative experience of sportsThe continued support of our sponsors and our golf tournament participants pushes BJB to higher levels in providing support for the Baltimore youth in countless ways.
This Years Details!
This year’s Birdies for Baltimore Golf Classic will be an 18-hole scramble beginning with an 8am shotgun start. There will be mulligan packages available before the tournament, donation opportunities along the course, and as the groups finish and make their way to the clubhouse, we will finish with lunch and an auction fundraiser. Last year’s auction highlights included a custom golf bag and signed team pictures, and we have some even cooler things planned for this year (hopefully some Ravens merch). If you would like to donate an item for us to use in the auction, please email our Treasurer Spencer Kramer (skrame29@jh.edu).
It takes place on Friday, September 18th, the day before the Alumni Weekend home game vs Susquehanna! We are also excited to announce that this year, we have upgraded the course from Pine Ridge to The Woodlands Golf Course in Windsor Mill, MD (it has a much nicer clubhouse, a beverage cart service, and is still a ~30 min drive from campus) and lowered the registration prices (foursome is $400 cheaper, single golfer is $100 cheaper).
